Lee Kum Kee pioneered the “Hope as Chef” programme in 2011 to help aspiring young people to pursue professional Chinese culinary training in national key vocational high schools in Beijing, Chengdu and Guangzhou, China.
In 2018, the “Hope as Chef” programme was extended to Malaysia.
In 2019, “Lee Kum Kee Hope as Chef Charitable Foundation” was established in Hong Kong, China. It is now supporting community projects in Hong Kong, China.
We award scholarships to teachers and students with outstanding performance to promote Chinese culinary education development.
We award scholarships to promising students of The Culinary Institute of American and Johnson & Wales University, USA, who are studying culinary arts.
We fund culinary workshops for secondary school students and teachers in the UK to promote healthy Chinese culinary culture.
We donate sauces and condiments to support charity programmes.
With the help of the Global Volunteer Team, we continue to extend our care to different strata of the community.
