In the past five years since 2012, we have donated over
USD 35 million to support education, local infrastructure and other community needs, as well as to promote Chinese cuisines worldwide.

Our Global Volunteer Team contributes to local communities through hands-on activities. We collaborate with the community, industry and academia to expand our impact and regularly organise plant visits for local community organisations.

Investment in Education

Lee Kum Sheung Center for Health and Happiness at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

In 2016, the Lee Kum Kee Family has donated over USD 21 million to establish the Lee Kum Sheung Center for Health and Happiness at Harvard University in the United States with an aim to help people enjoy longer, happier and healthier lives.

Lee Man Tat Secondary School

In 1997, Lee Kum Kee donated towards the building of Lee Man Tat Secondary School in Xinhui, supporting educational development and nurturing talent in its hometown.

Lee Man Tat Bio-Medical Science Research Centre at Tsinghua University

In 2003, Lee Kum Kee made donation to Tsinghua University to build the Lee Man Tat Bio-Medical Science Library. In 2014, the Library was transformed into the Lee Man Tat Bio-Medical Science Research Centre as a world-leading protein research platform for international research and talent development.

Lee Kum Kee Philanthropy School

In 2009, Lee Kum Kee made donation to establish Lee Kum Kee Philanthropy School in Pingwu, Mianyang, Sichuan, which was officially opened in 2011, to help children from the earthquake-stricken areas get back to school.

Lee Shiu Nan Memorial School

In 1989, Group Chairman Mr. Lee Man Tat made donation to build Lee Shiu Nan Memorial School in Nan Shui where oyster sauce was invented, in memory of his late father. The school was opened in 1990 and has since received continuous support from Lee Kum Kee.

Hope as Chef

Since 2011, Lee Kum Kee has launched the Hope as Chef programme, helping youths in poverty-stricken rural areas and fully subsidising them to enter national key vocational high schools in Beijing and Chengdu to learn Chinese cooking skills. By 2016, some 450 aspiring youngsters with passion for Chinese cooking in China were benefitted from the programme.

FUN Healthy Chinese Cuisine Ambassadors

In 2016, Lee Kum Kee and Ming Ai (London) Institute initiated the FUN Healthy Chinese Cuisine Ambassadors, promoting the healthy Chinese culinary culture among secondary school students and teachers in the United Kingdom.

Investment in Infrastructure

To enhance local road transport and reduce traffic congestion and air pollution burden in Guangdong, China, the Lee Kum Kee Sauce Group and Health Products Group contributed USD 9.2 million to the Lee Man Tat Bridge and the Infinitus Bridge in Xinhui, China which completed in 2014 and 2017 respectively.
