As a responsible corporate citizen, Lee Kum Kee is committed to supporting the victims in the earthquake in Sichuan for emergency relief and rehabilitation.
On a corporate basis, the sauce business division of Lee Kum Kee has appealed to all staff around the world to make donations for the Sichuan earthquake victims. The company will match the donations dollar for dollar to double up the contribution. The donations will be passed to the Red Cross.
To extend our help and great empathy to affected people in the disaster, Lee Kum Kee will donate RMB 5 million through the Red Cross in China.
Nanfang Lee Kum Kee, a member of the Lee Kum Kee Health Products Group, has donated more than RMB 4 million to the aggrieved families as of 20th May 2008. The donations from its staff and business partners account for RMB 1.5 million. The donation program will continue and more action will be taken to help the victims.
In addition, Nanfang Lee Kum Kee will also donate products RMB 10 million worth to members of the rescue team to strengthen their health conditions and immunity to disease.
